CCL - Coffee Cleaning
Liquid
This specially formulated coffee cleaning liquid
dissolves coffee oils and helps remove coffee sediments
that accumulate over a period when espresso water dries,
becomes hard and difficult to remove. Use this cleaning
liquid to clean the portafilter and brew unit. It
will dissolve oils and loosen the accumulated dried
coffee sediment, for easy
removal. Sold in a pair of 12
oz.
bottles.

DO NOT ADD OR
MIX COFFEE CLEANING LIQUID IN THE WATER
RESERVOIR. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR
DESCALING!

Blue Coffee
Cleaning Liquid
Applications |
|
1.
Cleaning Coffee
Stains: Soak a piece of
cloth & wipe coffee stains on plastic,
metal, glass pots etc. |
|
For
stubborn stains, soak the stains for 2 minutes and
wipe. Repeat the process again if
necessary. |
|
2. Cleaning Filter Cups
and Portafilters: The simplest method is to use
one or two teaspoonfuls of blue |
|
coffee
cleaning liquid in the filter basket and make a
blank shot of espresso to flush the coffee &
oil |
|
deposits inside the filter
holder, followed by another blank shot of
espresso to flush the cleaning liquid
out. |
|
Hot water
with blue cleaning liquid will flush
the filter cup and remove oils and
sediments. |
|
For
stubborn deposits in the holes of filter cup, soak the
filter cup for an hour or two and make a blank shot
|
|
of
espresso (without coffee) to flush the holes
clean. DO NOT use needles or pins
to open the holes. |
|
The holes
in the filter cup are precision size to filter coffee
and generate necessary pressure to regulate
|
|
the flow
of espresso extract. |
|
Saeco pressurized portafilters
should not be opened from the bottom by
removing the three screws, for |
|
repairs or
manual cleaning inside. The simple method to clean
the filter cup & the cup holder is to
place two |
|
teaspoonfuls of liquid cleaner in the
filter cup, hook it up in the group head & make
espresso WITHOUT COFFEE! |
|
3.
To Clean Saeco/Solis/Brew Groups with
Pre-Ground Function: Saeco, Gaggia, Spidem
and other |
|
brands use
a brew group in fully automatic machines. Such machines
include Magic Deluxe, Comfort Plus |
|
Royal
Professional, Coffee Bar, Italia, Italia
Digital, Charisma, Vspresso, Vienna
Superautomatica, Vienna |
|
Deluxe,
Vienna Digital, Villa, Several Incanto
Models, Synchrony Digital, Logic,
Compact & Compact |
|
Digital,
Trevi Automatic, Trevi Exclusive, Trevi Digital Plus and
Divina & Divina Deluxe. Most of these models
|
|
have
pre-ground cycle that will turn off the grinder. This
function can be used with dropping two teaspoons
of |
|
cleaning
liquid through the feeding shoot (instead of pre-ground
coffee) and make espresso, followed by |
|
another
preground cycle without coffee to flush the cleaning
liquid out. Here are the steps on how to do
it: |
|
1. First press
the (pre-ground) button. |
|
2.
Pour 2 to 3 teaspoons of blue
liquid (just the blue liquid - NO COFFEE) through the
feeding shoot directly |
|
into the
compacting chamber. In Saeco fully automatic models
Magic & Royal Line, use the pre-ground
|
|
coffee
chute for blue liquid and quickly use selection for
medium coffee. (Vienna & Trevi models do
not |
|
have
preground option. See separate instructions below for
these models.) |
|
3. Flush
the blue liquid left inside the brew unit, by making one
or two large espresso, without
coffee. | |
|
Cleaning Brew
Group in Saeco Vienna & Spidem
Trevi line
1. Turn the Espresso dosing
knob to 3 PM position (large espresso
position).
2. Turn the grind adjustment
knob in the bean hopper two notches clockwise to
increase the coarseness of grind (allows easy flow of
liquid through coffee grounds).
3. Add 2 teaspoons
of blue liquid directly in the compacting chamber
of the brew unit. Some liquid will escape from the water
inlet cup. Quickly place the brew unit in position,
close the door and press the espresso
selection. Repeat this application twice. This
process will clean the screen and pre-infusion
valve located under the espresso outlet
nozzle.
4. Make two final long
espresso shots to flush the cleaning liquid out from the
brew unit.
5. Do not forget to return
the grind adjustment knob to the original grind
setting. The grind adjustment knob will not return
to original grind setting if the grinder is not
operating. To move the grind adjustment
lever, press the espresso selection. While the
grinder is working, move the lever back to its original
setting. Make a second espresso to bring
the fineness of grind, back to original. The first grind
dispensed will be the coarse grind from the
previous
grind. | |

DSC - Best Descaler for Espresso
Machines
The
descaler shown here is used in our workshop,
providing us with the best results. Ideal for
descaling water passages in espresso
machines and can also be used to clean
white mineral deposits from parts, water tanks and
other utensils. Just soak the parts in the
descaling solution for 10 to 20 minutes depending on the
amount of mineral deposit (do NOT leave chrome
plated articles in this solution for longer than
5 minutes; it will turn the chrome surface
black permanently). This descaler is particularly good
for Gaggia home espresso machines which have Aluminum
boilers. Aluminum accumulates deposits of Aluminum
Oxide in addition to mineral
deposits.
Best Descaler is available in packs of 6
packets:
 |
|
|
Best
Descaler: Use descaler for
removing Calcium deposits & sediments
inside espresso machines. Use it also to clean
parts and water tank showing white scale deposits of
Calcium and even Calcium coated parts. Removes
Calcium deposits efficiently and fast.
Prepare enough
solution using ratio of one packet for 6 cups of
water. Sink the item (Brew Group, Water Tank, Other
Parts) in the solution. Remove after 2 hours. Caution: Do not
leave chrome plated items in the solution for more than
5
minutes.
Best Descaler is also available in 2 packs of 6
