Pressurized Portafilter  allows pre-infusion delay and builds extraction pressure to 9 Bars

Adjustable Over pressure valve or any other modifications are not required.

To pull classic shots of espresso, do not use powdery fine grind or press (no tamping please).

Extraction with pre-infusion takes between 10 sec or 12 seconds. Saeco Portafilter is not a

commercial portafilter. Recommendations over the Internet chat rooms are for commercial portafilters.

Special instructions for use of Saeco pressurized Portafilters: When using ground coffee, use coarser grind like the size of table salt grain. Do not use grind adjustment setting by its numbered position. Feel the ground coffee for fineness adjustment.  Just level the cup with coffee grounds and lock the Portafilter into the group ring. Do not tamp. Lock the portafilter and turn espresso hot water switch on.  Hold the portafilter pulled all the way to the right for 5 to 8 seconds (pre-infusion pressure builds up to 9 bars). Release the handle to return 1" back and open passage for espresso to collect in the cup. Espresso shots should not be more than 2-Oz. in the cup. For larger quantity, use two shots. For Americana coffee, add hot water instead of allowing 8-Oz. water to pump through the coffee grounds.

Cafiza, Puly Caff and CleanCaf are coffee cleaners, not right for descaling at all.
